Educators have adapted and adjusted classroom practices and environments this past year and many have found silver linings within the childcare health and safety guidelines. Our struggle to keep consistent staff in our pods/cohorts reminded us how important it is to have primary caregivers who build trusting relationships that support children’s emotional development. Many early educators spent time planning for transitions and preparing their learning environments to support children’s transitions back to in-person care last summer. As another summer is here and a new school year is upon us, we would like to invite you to join us in a discussion focused on supporting positive transitions. This session will focus on the foundational elements connected to children’s success and emotional well-being. We will also highlight effective teaching practices and interactions which positively impact children’s social and emotional competencies within themselves and their relationships with others.

Also, as the San Francisco Department of Public Health continues to align with the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control, we will review the most recent health and safety updates for early care and education programs.

Join us for the July educator session as we continue to discuss, explore, and support one another!
