This is an Overview/Introductory training for Teaching Staff, Administration/Leadership Staff, Family Child Care Providers, Prospective Providers or Students, Family, Friend, and Neighbor Care Providers.
Prior knowledge or experience needed:
- None
This training will cover:
- Health, Safety, and Nutrition: Participants will learn about best practices to support childcare program policies and practices addressing indoor and outdoor environmental health and safety. Participants will learn to share information with families about health practices and personal care routines in the early education setting, including safe sleep, nutrition, and lead poisoning prevention.

Must attend all 8 hours to receive a certificate. No partial credit or make-up days allowed.
Participants who attempt to enter the class after the 10-minute grace will not be admitted.
This is an online training. Please make sure you have access to the internet, and audio. Please ensure that you login 5-10 minutes before the training begins. NOTE: Attendance must be confirmed DURING the training. Participants will not be able to join the meeting 10 minutes after it has started. Participants must stay for the entire training and confirm their attendance DURING the training in order to receive credit.
As you will receive a certification for this class, attendees are required to be ON video and participate during the entirety of the training. For your safety, we do not allow attendees to be driving while attending our trainings. Participants should be free from distractions, which creates a distraction-free environment for everyone participating.
You must complete all three days (8-hours) of training in order to receive a certificate. Partial credit will absolutely NOT be issued for this training.
