Creating effective contracts for in-home childcare can be complicated and confusing. It is essential that providers
have clear, detailed, and professional clauses that cover schedules, payments, absences, and emergencies. A well drafted contract protects both the provider and the family, preventing misunderstandings and defining
responsibilities. In addition to the contract, the provider should have a policy manual with more detailed
procedures. Come and learn more about creating an effective contract and policies for your family childcare
home.
