This session will guide you on how to safely manage a crying baby to help prevent Shaken Baby Syndrome (Abusive Head Trauma). During the first 60 minutes, participants will learn practical strategies, share experiences, and engage in collaborative discussion. The final 30 minutes will be dedicated to drop-in questions and support.

This is an Overview/Introductory This is a training for Teaching Staff, Family Child Care Providers, Prospective Providers or Students, Family, Friend, and Neighbor Care Providers.
Prior Knowledge of experience needed:
- None
This training will cover:
- Health, Safety, and Nutrition: Recognize common triggers of infant crying and caregiver stress.Demonstrate safe and appropriate strategies for managing a crying baby.
Early learning standards/foundations:
- Infant Care (Birth - 18 Months)
- Toddler Care (19 - 36 Months)
- Adults in ECE
- Social-Emotional Development
Is this a Pathways Training? Yes
To receive credit, participants must attend the full hour and register through the ECE Registry. A 15-minute grace period is allowed.
