In this training, participants will unpack the differences between contracts and policy handbooks and why both are essential for working with families.  We’ll explore the core components of each, review sample language, and discuss how to create documents that reflect your values and expectations. By the end of the session, providers will feel more confident in developing or refining their contracts and handbooks to support strong family partnerships and professional boundaries.

This is an Overview/Introductory This is a training for Teaching Staff, Administration/Leadership Staff, Family Child Care Providers, Prospective Providers or Students, Family, Friend, and Neighbor Care Providers.

This training will cover:
  • Administration and Supervision: By the end of the session, providers will feel more confident in developing or refining their contracts and handbooks to support strong family partnerships and professional boundaries.
Early learning standards/foundations:

Certificate upon completing all 2 of the training series. Dates are 8/14/25 & 8/21/25. Please note to be eligible for certificate you must attend full session Credit will be given to those who attend the FULL session. A grace period of up to 15 minutes will be allowed. Registration will close on the day before the training. The Zoom link will be emailed to you once your participation has been approved. To maximize your training experience, we strongly encourage you to arrive on time and keep your video camera on. Participation throughout the training will be verified in order to receive credit. If you have any questions about the training please reach out to us by 4pm the day before the training. The day of training we will be unable to communicate as we are in preparations for session.
