Explore the different aspects of infant and toddler temperaments and how they contribute to the range of diversity in your programs. You''''ll have the chance to reflect on your own temperament and consider how it shapes your view of the ''''ideal child.'''' Learn to identify these temperament traits in your program and collaborate with peers to develop strategies for fostering positive and nurturing relationships with infants and toddlers, no matter their temperament. This training is based on curriculum from the Program for Infant Toddler Care (PITC).

This is an In-depth training for Teaching Staff, Administration/Leadership Staff, Parents/Families, Family Child Care Providers, Prospective Providers or Students, Family, Friend, and Neighbor Care Providers, Resource & Referral Staff, Home Visitors, Trainers, Coaches.

This training will cover:
  • Relationships, Interactions, and Guidance: 1 To recognize temperament tendencies in infants and toddlers.2 To value the full range of temperaments in infants and toddlers.3 Utilizing a temperament selfassessment to reflect on ones own temperament and how it might affect maintaining a positive and nurturing relationship with infants and toddlers.

Attendance credit will not be awarded to participants who:
