Join the i3 Institute: Inquiry, Intention, and Innovation, at its lab school, Center of Gravity, for a playful session that promotes STEM learning for infants through preschoolers. In addition to lecture and theory on brain development and play, we will provide various stations for loose parts and gross motor provocation to develop our 21st-century learning skills through play, observation, and documentation.

This is an Overview/Introductory training for Teaching Staff, Administration/Leadership Staff, Family Child Care Providers, Prospective Providers or Students, Faculty, Resource & Referral Staff, Coaches.

This training will cover:
  • Child Development and Learning: Participants will plan experiences that support preschool development and learning in all domains and content areas, communicate with staff, colleagues, and families about the ways in which environments and strategies are designed to promote development and learning across all domains, and use the preschool learning foundations and preschool curriculum framework to inform the curriculum-planning process for preschool children.
  • Learning Environments and Curriculum: Participants will illustrate knowledge of development to inform planning for individual children within the indoor and outdoor learning environment, including support for relationships and the development of emotion regulation and build tools to explain principles of curriculum planning that are based on observation, assessment, documentation, interpretation, planning, and implementation and clarifies the goals and features of curricula used in the learning to community stakeholders.
