This is an Overview/Introductory training for Teaching Staff, Administration/Leadership Staff, Family Child Care Providers.
Prior knowledge or experience needed:
- Other:ECE educators who have previously participated in the Connecting Children to Nature projects and PLC’s are encouraged to continue with us.
This training will cover:
- Child Development and Learning: Aligning Vision and Practice: Connect your vision and role with strategies to support and engage in outdoor learning, ensuring alignment with educational goals.
- Learning Environments and Curriculum: Innovating Outdoor Experiences: Engage in a reflective and creative process toinnovate and assess outdoor learning experiences, making them creative, accessible,and developmentally engaging.
- Culture, Diversity, and Equity: Promoting Inclusivity: Develop teaching practices that advance social justice, equity,and an inclusive connection to nature, addressing the diverse needs of children andeducators.
- Relationships, Interactions, and Guidance: Applying Best Practices: Implement outdoor learning activities based on new ideas and best practices to create an inclusive and engaging environment for all learners.
